Gingerbread

Ingredients

100g butter
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup treacle
250g plain flour
1/2 tsp bicarb soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ginger

Cream butter and sugar then add egg yolk.
Add treacle.
Add sifted dry ingredients and mix all together.
Chill for 1 hour.
Roll out thinly and cut into shapes.
Bake on an ungreased tray at 180 degrees until golden brown.
